Bright, herby, and a little spicy, this chimichurri comes together in minutes and adds bold flavor to just about anything. Drizzle it over steak, spoon it onto veggies, or stir it into marinades once you make it fresh, you’ll never go back to store-bought.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of flat leaf parsley

  • 1 cup of cilantro (stems removed)

  • 1 shallot (chopped)

  • 2-3 cloves of garlic

  • ⅓ cup of apple cider vinegar

  • Juice of 1 lime

  • 2 teaspoon of chili flakes

  • ½ cup of olive oil

  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Slowly add olive oil in steady stream.

  2. Add all ingredients to a food processor/blender and pulse until finely chopped or finely chop by hand.

  3. Using a blender will give you a brighter green, smoother sauce, while hand-chopping yields a more traditional, rustic chimichurri with distinct texture.
  4. Pulse the mixture a few times til incorporated.

  5. Server or store in airtight container for up to a week.
